Moreover, information about plantations establishment is provided, including topics such as; the width of roads, definition of protected areas, improvement of the wood, soil preparation, weeding and herbicide application , fertilization, and fire protection needed to maintain a plantation. Additionally, information about the main diseases and infestations that affect certain trees in a plantation is given. Finally, the species are grouped into categories related to their use such as; lumber, firewood, charcoal, paper, agroforestry, food for people or animals, among others.
